Q8. How many treatments will I need?

A. The number of acupuncture treatments a patient needs differs from person to person. For complex or longstanding conditions, one or two treatments a week for several months may be recommended. For acute problems, usually fewer treatments are required. For health maintenance, four sessions a year may be all that is necessary.
